Hello friends, welcome to another episode of the Sabby Painter Podcast.

0:10.0

I have an important announcement this week for you and so we're going to get into that in this

0:17.0

episode and I'm going to share with you some of the things that I have going on.

0:21.8

I cannot believe that we are already halfway through

0:26.8

October and closing in on the end of the year. It's so crazy sometimes how fast time goes and how much we can get

0:36.8

done in short periods of time. I think I've talked about this before. I'm in a master coach training program and we are in the final stretch of it, which seems so amazing to me.

0:51.0

And one of the things that I've been working on is the 100 portrait

0:55.9

project and I'm coming to the end of that and that is pretty exciting. So

1:02.0

interesting just to notice as I get closer and closer to the end of it. It's almost like what I've talked with you about and doing a painting where you get, you start a painting and you have this vision of how it's going to go and then you start working on it and you start to responding to not just what you thought was going to happen but what actually

1:25.2

is happening on the canvas you start responding to the marks that you're making and you get to that point in the

1:32.0

middle where you start to see that, hey, there's this vision that I had in my head, and then there's what's actually happening on the canvas right now.

1:41.0

And that's what I call the messy middle is that part where it's no longer

1:45.5

that vision in your head that is more complete it is now what exists on the

1:51.0

canvas and there's a gap. There's always a gap between what your vision is and what actually has on the canvas and I think what's so

1:59.5

interesting is I'm noticing that that is happening now with the 100 portrait project.

2:05.0

Like I kind of had this idea of like, okay, well if I do 100 black and white self-portraits,

2:11.0

this is what I expect to have. And even though I know what we expect to happen

2:18.1

is never exactly what happens. I know that. And I caught myself experiencing that same sort of I don't know dissonance

2:26.7

I guess that happens where I'm at I think what I've posted is 60-something portraits on my

2:34.7

Instagram page. I probably have about 10 or 15 that I haven't quite

2:39.4

posted yet. Like I'm still allowing them to percolate.
