Today we're talking indoor gardening, something for you apartment balcony folks that just

don't have a lot of space and you do want to do something this year in the garden.

And what better thing to grow than one of the herbs that I think many of us use quite

often in our cooking, rosemary, and even if you don't there's a lot of different things

that you can use rosemary for, you'll see beautiful flowers form and you'll see beautiful

bees come and it's a great little plant even just as an ornamental.

So let's talk about how to grow it indoors.

It can be a little bit tricky, you know it's funny I walk around here in San Diego and

I see huge rosemary hedges, I'm talking the things that you would see that just block

a complete view of let's say a property.

That's what will be rosemary here, it's crazy.

But that's because we have one of the few Mediterranean climates in America and rosemary

is a Mediterranean herb that likes the exact climate that we have.

So how do you grow it indoors?

You just need to make sure that you give it a pretty sizable pot and a well lit window.

It wants six to eight plus hours of sun a day, it can handle even more than that and

so the most sun you give it the best, but I will say you do want to give it a relatively

big pot.

It's going to be a long, long, grower for you, you could keep it actually for many years

if you want to.

And so the bigger the pot, you can afford the better for it.
