Welcome back everyone to the Epic Gardening Podcast today and this week we have an

awesome guest that I've known for quite a while online but this is the first time we're getting a chance to actually speak.

Tanya Anderson, she is the founder of Lovely Greens, which is a gardening blog, a YouTube channel.

She also sells a bunch of handmade products on her store there as well.

But she's also the author of the upcoming book, A Woman's Garden,

grow beautiful plants, and make useful things.

And that's exactly what we'll be talking about over the course of this week.

So Tanya, I feel like we should have been on the podcast a long time ago, so it's great to have you.

So before we get into growing plants for useful

purposes probably it's best just to get a quick primer on you know who you are

where you're growing and and your approach to gardening in general.

I really started growing, I would say about 14 years ago when I was living in London.

And then once I moved to the Isle of Man I really got into it.

I had the opportunity to start growing a lot more because I was able to get an allotment

which is basically rented lands that you can garden on. And then at that point I also started teaching myself how to make handmade soap and beauty products and then

using what I was growing in the allotments to make handmade soap and lotions and

selves and that's how I started my business lovely greens

handmade. Gotcha yeah I was going to say I think most of us at least certainly me

when I started out gardening was the useful purpose of the plant was to eat it.

And as we know, there's obviously many more different uses of plants than that.

And so you mentioned some skincare products, some so and stuff what are sort of the main things besides
