It is vital that we give attention to our families while we can,

and it is especially important to give attention to what God says in his word about our homes. For the next few minutes, let's join Scott Pauli, as we open the scriptures and find God's

message for your family.

Every scripture has one primary interpretation, but it may also have many applications.

I've learned through the years that as I go through portions of the Bible that are less familiar to me,

that oftentimes God will connect something there to my own life.

For example, in the prophetic books of the Old Testament, the Lord still

has many practical things to teach us, many personal lessons that we can take and make our own.

Recently, as I was reading through the book of Zachariah, I came to a phrase that just left

off the page. It's found in Zechariah chapter number 14. Now we should look at it in your

copy of the Bible and mark it in your Bible. And yes, Zachariah is in your Bible. It's in that portion

of scripture where the pages still stick together, where everything is nice and clean because we don't

go there often. And yet in this passage dealing with the future day of the Lord,

the day of judgment that is to come and then the restoration that God will bring,

we have a powerful principle about who God is and how God deals with his people.

Here it is.

Zachariah 14, verse number seven, but it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day nor night, but it shall come to pass that at evening time, it shall be light. Listen to that expression. At evening time, it shall be light.

Evening is the dark time.

Evening is the late hour.

And yet God says that very often he takes the evening time and he turns that.

He takes the darkness and he turns it to light.
