I think a truism of life is when they say do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life and I think this goes for myself

although I guess sometimes it does feel like work what I do, but everyone has a little

bit of that in their lives. We have Jennifer Galizia back in the show. She's the flower farmer behind the

flowering farm house and runs a cut flower farm up in Hood River, Oregon.

And so we've talked a little bit about like the business, I guess, side of this, Jennifer,

and now switching over to this idea of just grow what you love and I guess when I put a business

hat on I might say well well maybe grow what your customers love and so I'm curious kind of

what your angle is here. Absolutely, so I love to say grow what you love because if you try and grow what's popular and you don't like it,

you're going to find that you're not caring for that product.

So for example, people are going to not like me for this.

Sunflowers are really hard for me to grow in my area and my passion is dahlias so I plant a small amount of

sunflowers but when I try and plant 2,000 or 5,000 sunflowers in my garden They get neglected and then I forget to

fertilize them or weed around them or pick them at the right harvest time.

Whereas when I plant Adalia, there's just something deep down to me that sparks that joy where I'm watching that plant every day I'm looking to see if it's come out of the ground

how's it growing is there that bud is it time to harvest Can I take pictures of it? Can I share that with someone?

When you become passionate about a flower, you're going to invest your time and energy into it.

It's kind of like anything in life, if you're passionate about something something that's where your time is going to be spent.
