Hello and welcome to the Monday January 7th

2019 edition of Tesla Daily on official Tesla Podcast. My name is Rob Maower. Today we are talking

about Tesla's groundbreaking ceremony for Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai, China. Tesla stock with a strong day

today up 5.44% to $334.96 as compared to the NASDAQ also

up 1.26 percent. It's difficult to say how much of that movement may have been driven by

the Gigafactory 3 groundbreaking

ceremony news versus other influences. Tesla on Friday also had a really strong performance

up 5.8 percent. So I think we're seeing at least a little bit of a mix here from just continued strength as Tesla starts to rebound a little bit from my interpretation of an overreaction from the Q4 production and delivery numbers with probably a little bit of help from that

groundbreaking ceremony and comments that Elon Musk made during it.

Before we get to those comments though, I just want to quickly apologize for missing Friday's episode.

I came down with a cold on Thursday

night, so I am sorry about that. In general, apologies for the inconsistency lately.

It's really, really tough to balance the rest of my life with this podcast

being daily and I'm trying to do a better job of balancing

the other things in my life but believe me it pains me to miss episodes my intent

is to be here every single weekday sometimes I just can't quite achieve that, so I do apologize for that.

On that note, there is a chance that I may miss tomorrow's episode.

I'm going to try to get to it, but did want to mention that possibility because I do like to give a heads up if at all possible.
