Mom and I have kind of stolen the microphones for these

next couple of episodes got another interview coming but last week we

got to hear from mom and mom we got to hear your story on suffering and what it was like to lose your hearing

and just to learn to hear God in the midst of that and and about teaching our kids the importance of a theology of suffering.

And you know that got us talking about grieving.

What does it look like to grieve and to grieve honestly?

You said something that surprised me that now we've been talking over lunch and over some time together talking about that you felt prepared in a sense as much as anybody ever can be to suffer.

So you didn't reject God, like was my initial response,

but you felt very ill-prepared to grieve to grieve honestly to lament as the Bible

calls it
