We've got two big votes underway right now in Kansas and Missouri, and of course many people

will be going to the polls on Tuesday, but thousands have been voting early in Kansas. And literally some polling places have had

between 5,000 and 10,000 people a day leading up to this is we're probably going to have record

primary numbers in Kansas because of the amendment to the Kansas Constitution concerning

abortion that is on the ballot.

Massive turnout, but also a big turnout, I believe, is coming in the Republican primary for Senate in Missouri. So these two races have dominated our coverage here at KKHI, and I continue to get emails

from many of you, and I want to address this right at the start, from so many races, including a very passionate

group of people about the Johnson County Commissioner that is up for vote. And this is basically

a primary. It's nonpartisan. You're going to vote. And a couple of these are going to go to November.

And we'll get into the deep discussion of that between now and

November and many, many other candidates, smaller offices and things like that of people who've

wanted to be guests on the podcast. And I've just remained strong on this, despite the fact that

a lot of you are not happy with it and a lot of people that are close to me are not happy with it.

Like, why aren't you having these people on? Why aren't, why aren't you doing it? Because if six people are running for

one small office, first and foremost, a smaller office, by definition, is of limited interest

to a broad audience, which this podcast is. We talk a lot about Kansas and Missouri here, but we've got podcast

listeners all over the country that listen to this. They're transplanted Kansas City, and they're

people that maybe used to listen to the radio show back in the day. And we've picked up new listeners

across the country that like the political content when it's the top of the podcast, especially
