This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. I wanted to go to an HBCU and be a drum major. That was like my ultimate goal was like, I'm going to be a drum major. Jackson State, there's a YouTube video of Jackson State drum majors that I used to watch on repeat. I showed my band director. I learned the routine. I'm like, dude, we're going to turn this thing out, right? So that's why I didn't play football too late. Fast forward to your question. We're playing like, I don't know, whatever school we're playing. And they said their drum line stood at our gate to entrance to the stadium and stood there and play. Now, I knew what that meant because that local band that I played in, we did that. I mean, we had Cleveland Shaw come down and we played against Cleveland Shaw in the middle of the Black Family Reunion. We battled against them. I did battle competitions. I'll show you all YouTube videos when we're done. My brother just sent them to me. We did battle competitions in the city and stuff like that.

They knew what that meant. So whoever it was, he came off the bus, got his drums. So here it is. Me and this guy battling out, the back of San X High School, right? battling out, once the last person folds up his drums, it's over. Yeah. He didn't know how it was armed, right? I've been doing this, right? So he folded up his drums, got back on the bus.
