Hello, I'm welcome to the latest podcast in Midnight Meat and the first of 2020-22.

I was delighted in 2021 with able to bring you dozens of episodes of Midnight Meat

involved in names from sport, music, literature, comedy, wherever, and it was all based around

a proper long form intimate chat, I think, rather than an interview.

And we start this year with an absolute bang.

One of the most dominant US Olympians of all time, Greg Laganas, the only man and the

second diver ever in Olympic history to sweep the diving events in consecutive Olympic

games.

In his case, it was 1984 and 1988 and of course the latter re-recovered from what was one

of the Olympic's most watched moments of all time when he caught his head on the springboard

and needed the stitches.

His life in and out of the water is one that they could have kept us talking for ours,

but you'll have to make do with just the one.
