decisions. And Greg is the author of several books on leadership, the latest of which is called

How Leaders Decide, a timeless guide to making Choices. Great, thanks so much for joining

us, as we told you before, we just love the book. Well, thank you very much, Jan and Laura. I'm excited

to be on the show with you. To start out, can you tell us what inspired how leaders decide and how it's

different from so many other books that are written about leadership?

Well, it was inspired by my wife. Actually, I didn't think I would write it. And she wondered if some of the regular blogs that I did could be repackaged. And my agent didn't really like that

idea. But what she did like were some of the backstories in the

blogs that I had done. And interestingly, the greatest response that I typically get from the

executives around the world that read my blogs seem to always resonate most powerfully with these

historical examples. So I think the thing that, so that's how it was

inspired. What makes it different is that this is really, these are, these are bite-sized chunks.

These are, these are short chapters that are designed to be read in about, in about 10 minutes,

one per week.

I had to read about 300 books to write this one.

But what makes this different is that it's the bite-sized way in which readers can consume this book.

And tell us more about your background. Well, my background is marketing. I ran a division of a

national ad agency, and then I ran the Dallas office of Edelman Worldwide, and then I started my

own firm many years ago,
