0:00.0	So the reason why chewing gum is so bad is because it is essentially just flavored plastic.
0:06.9	That chewy texture is created with synthetic ingredients and plasticizers, vegetable oils,
0:14.2	polyvinyl acetate to mimic the natural chewy texture that people have been chewing for
0:19.9	thousands of years with all types of
0:22.0	different treasps. But of course it's very difficult to produce and manufacture those things at
0:28.0	scale, which is why they switch to the synthetic alternative. And of course, all of the artificial
0:33.3	sweeteners and flavorings that go into that as well. And so I started going down a very, very deep
0:39.4	rabbit hole of what is the healthiest chewing gum. And not to my surprise, it turns out the original
0:45.8	chewing gum, treasap, is the only truly healthy natural chewing gum available. And so I scoured the
0:53.0	web trying to find a source for this gum. But at the time,
0:57.5	you know, you can only buy it directly from these farmers on the island. And so I reached out to a few.
1:03.8	I was able to get my hands on a small quantity. I immediately loved it. I was hooked right away from
1:09.2	chewing it. And so I knew that if I liked it,
1:11.8	then chances are there's a lot of other people out there who like it too.
