Summary

Greatest Hit Series: This originally aired as Episode 198.

As the new year begins, many people find themselves asking, “What is my purpose right now?” In this episode, Corrine and Neil respond to a listener's question about purpose, time, and how to know if you are spending your life the way God intends.

They share a faith-filled perspective on finding purpose in everyday life, especially in seasons that feel quieter or uncertain. Corrine and Neil talk about why purpose is often found in small acts of service, using the opportunities already in front of you, and resisting the pressure to compare your season to someone else’s. They also discuss how different seasons of life require different levels of capacity and why God does not expect the same output from us in every season.

This episode explores how serving others can change the way we experience our days, why some of the most important work happens within our homes and families, and how viewing time through an eternal perspective can bring peace and clarity. If you are entering the new year feeling unsure about your direction, this conversation will help you reset your focus, trust God’s timing, and recognize that your purpose may be simpler and more meaningful than you think.

this. Write us an email or send me a DM. Email is usually a little bit more reliable than DM

because DMs get lost really easily, but I happen to find this one. And someone said, I just

0:50.0

listened to your podcast episode, Satan wants you to waste your time. You spoke in there knowing about your identity. But the thing that I struggle with is my purpose. I know who I am. I know God put me here, but what is my purpose and how do I go about finding it? I've asked God to guide me to find my purpose, but it hasn't come. My kids are all in school for three years now, and I'm a stay-at-home mom.

1:12.1

I thought that once they were all in school, I would be able to find my purpose outside of

motherhood, but I am really struggling to find what I am, quote, supposed to do, unquote.

1:23.5

And I thought this was a great question as a follow-up to Satan wants you to waste your time.

1:28.5

It's super easy to waste our time in all kinds of ways. And we've talked about that already.

1:32.8

But I thought this was a really good topic to discuss about how do you find your purpose and what you should be doing with your time.

1:40.6

So we had kind of a preliminary conversation about this. And my initial reaction

to this girl was to just talk to her about, I love that she was seeking answers on this. And

1:52.8

I told her, I think sometimes people get overwhelmed by needing this huge purpose or huge mission.

1:59.8

And sometimes what God needs even more is just

2:02.3

ground level ministering and service and missionary work, time in the temple for us. That's a priority

2:08.0

for you. It might look like something different. But we're going to kind of talk about some ways that

2:13.2

you can invest your time in things that will matter in eternity, in the next life, that you'll

2:20.5

die someday and look back and say, I'm really glad I spent my time this way.

2:25.8

So, and that may look different depending on your faith base or your beliefs, but everyone can
