Nomad, Christian community, mission and the future of the church.

On the last Nomad podcast, we spoke with Alan Hirsch, who challenged us to rediscover the radical

nature of Jesus and what he's calling us to. So we thought on Nomad, we'd speak to a couple who

have recently started out on the journey of answering that call. Do you want to start by to

tell us a little bit about who you are? Yep. Ladies first. I'm Tracy, married to Graham. We've

lived in Ossingham for about 11 years. We came to

university here, met kind of at uni, but kind of at church. We, yeah, I trained as a mental

health nurse or a psychiatric nurse. I'll let Graham explain what he does. When we got married, we kind of lived

in a relatively nice area of Nottingham. We go to big, and have been ever since we've been at

Nottingham and been married, a big regional church in Nottingham. She's a great church. She's got a big

emphasis on kind of compassion ministries service. It's not great church. She's got a big emphasis on kind of compassion ministries service.

It's not a church that's afraid of getting its hands dirty.

So it kind of gets stuck into the local community.

Yes, I'm Graham.

I'm married to Tracy.

You've been married for five years.

I've been following Jesus for about 10 years now and I work as a doctor

in a hospital nearby Nottingham. Cool. So you both have fairly good jobs then and he talked about

where you used to live in Nottingham, a fairly nice area. You don't live in such a nice area now or in the kind of area that people might associate

people who have your profession.
