Alan, for people who might not know who you are, could you describe yourself, please?

That's always an interesting one. As you mentioned, I was born in South Africa. I raised there, left

there when I was about 21, 22. I've been around about 28 years in Australia.

Marriottesigil, currently living in LA, have been, and I see myself primarily as an activist of some sort and being involved as a

missional kind of activist or strategist in local settings. More than an author, I certainly write books, but I see that as a tool to get ideas out

and try to get the church activated in mission in various contexts in the West.

My passion really is about activating the church in the Western world, feeling very deeply that if we don't fundamentally

we calibrate ourselves, we're going to continue massive, long-term, trended decline.
