Well, even though they've only been with us for about a year or so, GROC and chat GPT and other large language models, versions of AI, have already vastly magnified one of the great human potentials, and that is the human ability to cheat.

Hi, everybody, I'm Bill Whittle here with Steve Green and Scott Ott. And gentlemen, here's a little piece of footage for you to enjoy. This is a graduate, I think,

from UCLA, who is wearing his robes and his mortar board, and he is jumping up and down

with Joy holding up his laptop because his laptop took his final exams for him, and he didn't have to.

The latest reports from academia, both in high school and especially in college, is that the use of these large language models like Chad GPT have caused cheating on what can only be called an industrial scale at this point,

where the overwhelming majority, something like 80, 90% of the term papers and so on that are being

delivered are being written by AI. And there's a lot to unpack here. Scott, let me start with you,

because I think this, I never felt as smart as I did when I was having conversations with GROC.

And let me show you how how AI has in fact leveraged the human ability to cheat.

One student was online bragging about this.

He said, if I say to chat GPT, write me a term paper about the Spanish-American War, let's say. It'll write a term paper, and it will be marked

immediately by the professor as written by ChatGPT and AI, and he'll get flagged and he'll get failed.

So what this guy did was, he wrote the first two or three paragraphs of the term paper, and then

he said to ChatGPT, take the three paragraphs that I've

written and finish the report in the style of my first three paragraphs. So the AI then went,

looked and saw his unique style and his lack of, you know, sentence structure and all the rest of it,

repeated it through the report. And basically he sailed through through because he basically told the AI to be as essentially as

illiterate as I am and just finished the report.

Human ingenuity knows no bounds, Scottie.
