that you're here as part of the morning mindset. This is our opportunity to get our minds

aligned with the truth of God. And that's what we're doing today is we look at Proverbs

chapter 11 verses 16 through 17. And before we dive into the Scripture, I just want to

say my wife and I have kind of settled for a bit here in Colorado Springs in Denver in

let's dive in to Proverbs chapter 11 verses 16 through 17. Now before we read the verse,

let me remind you that Proverbs often just state reality without giving any kind of judgment

about that reality. And it's doing so to make a broader point. That's what we're going

to run into here in verse number 16. He's setting up a situation where everyone who reads

it would kind of nod their head and say, yeah, that's how life is. So let's read it.

It says a gracious woman gets honor. Yeah, that's how it is. People who are gracious,

people like them, other people turn toward them, think positively toward them, right? And

they receive honor. They're spoken well of. And here's the second phrase, a violent man

gets riches. Well, yeah, we can all kind of nod our heads to that. Yeah, we've seen

how people through violence through intimidation can get rich. They can build up wealth through
