Summary

Twice a month I publish a devotional that centers around reading God’s word out loud. I choose one particular topic and share verses and passages of scripture related to that. In this week’s Grace for a Mom’s Heart Devotional, we are digging up truths in God’s word about finding peace. Peace is the deepest desire and need of the human heart, but we will never truly find it outside of our relationship with God. He is the source of peace. He is Jehovah Shalom. 0:46.3	that topic and I read them out loud. And there's a reason for this. I do this because God's
0:53.2	word is powerful. God says in the scriptures about the scriptures that they are not
1:01.3	just words. They are our very life. They are life giving. I could talk forever about lots of different things, even about God, but my words are
1:13.5	nothing next to His. This is why the bulk of this podcast, I simply read scripture out loud.
1:21.4	It's that powerful. Here's a reminder of what God has to say about the power of his word.
1:27.6	Isaiah 55 verses 10 and 11.
1:30.2	The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth.
1:35.4	They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry.
1:40.4	It is the same with my word.
1:43.1	I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all that I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. In other translations, it reads that my word does not come back void. That means God's word is life-giving always.
2:03.4	This is one really good reason to just have scripture playing with your kids at home
2:10.0	just sort of in the background or music that is scripture-based.
2:14.8	Because God's word does not come back void. It always produces something.
