Summary

Romans 5:2 - 2 Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 2:12-16 - For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. 13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. 14 For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them 16 on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.

0:00.0	Hello my friends. I'm so thankful you're with me today. Welcome back to the
0:07.0	morning mindset. It is time for you and for me to get our minds aligned with
0:11.9	the truth of God. I am so grateful that we have the scriptures
0:16.0	to look into every day to help us with that reset. I don't know about you, but I particularly feel
0:21.1	a need for it today. I just am realizing that my soul, my my
0:26.2	psyche, everything is kind of just a little bit out of step and I need to get it
0:30.6	realigned so let's do that today we are looking at Romans chapter 5
0:35.5	verse number 2 we're taking verse at a time here for the last few episodes just
0:40.1	because there is so much here.
0:43.2	The Apostle Paul is telling us the application,
0:47.0	so to speak, or the outcome of a big long section
0:51.0	that he's just finished in chapter four that explains to us how we as
0:56.0	believers in Jesus Christ are justified by faith. In verse number two of chapter five
1:02.2	is what we're going to look at today, and it is telling us yet another
1:06.3	ramification of that fact that we are justified by faith.
1:11.0	He says, through him, and the him is Jesus, through Jesus, we have also obtained
1:17.5	access by faith into this grace in which we stand and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
1:28.0	Now there are two huge concepts here that we need to take some time to unpack and that is the concept of
1:34.6	grace and the concept of glory. What are those really all about? Well grace is
1:42.1	something that I tend to think of in terms of receiving good from God that we don't deserve.
1:49.0	It's God kind of bending down and helping the person who has offended him
1:54.0	to do what it takes to not offend him.
