It is late afternoon and we're going to have a special guest with us today.

I talk about all the time Derek Maltz, former DEA operator head of the Drug and Forest Administration Special Operations Division for 10 years.

You retired in 2014.

And I wanted to let you guys know, I really appreciate your feedback.

I know I got very strong positive feedback from the show we did it to begin this week on the drug crisis being about so much more than drugs.

And what is actually going on with drugs, immigration, crime, terrorism, the nexus of all that the perspective that you will not hear from anyone else.

Even though the week has somewhat matured, as we would say in this industry, in terms of news cycle, by the time you get to Tuesday afternoon already, the week seems to be defined, but it is a quiet week.

And it's still the same garbage news cycle.

I don't even know what the big Conservative talkers are talking about.

The same garbage, but in my view, this is still the most important issue.

That they are working on jailbreak to pass in the Senate.

Just what they view is the first modest step that they're going to build upon to reduce sentencing on the front end, back end for the most violent people in federal prison, federal prison got understanding the nature of who's there.
