Kavi-viditham, Kalma-shaphaam, Shravanam, Shrema-Datatam Bhuvigrinanthi

Bhuri-Dajana.

So in this class we read the Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna, the English translation of Sri

Sri Ramakrishna Kathamritha, the Bengali record of the conversations and teachings of Sri

Ramakrishna. We were reading that day of Sri Ramakrishna's birthday actually and the date was March 11th 1883

so an extensive description of conversations and what happened that day because a lot of people had come

because it was his birthday discussions Discussions were going on.

Now just to summarize some important discussions which happened, we read last time and the time before that.

One gentleman had come, see two contrasting things. A gentleman had come who was very well versed in Vedanta,

who is to cultivate, at least

study Vedantanism. And he was talking about Ome, the meaning of Ome, the impersonal reality beyond

this universe. And Sri Ramakrishna said to him, you know, like, Om is the name of God. Can one be

satisfied just by the name?

You know, I am not, will I be satisfied just by hearing your name?

I have to see you, I have to see the person.

Implying thereby,

the meaning of Ome is that's used as a way of realizing the absolute reality, existence consciousness, place.
