0:58.1	He said during a recent high-level trip to Beijing, Chinese officials committed to designating
1:03.3	all 13 chemicals used to make fentanyl as controlled substances.
1:09.0	They also say they will clamp down on at least seven chemical
1:12.3	subsidiaries tied to that supply chain. Gatesstone senior fellow Gordon Chang joins me now.
1:20.1	It sounds, Gordon, like a great agreement on the service. Surface, what do you think about it?
1:26.0	Well, the agreement was a triumph, but we got to remember that
1:29.0	this agreement was basically the same that Xi Jinping, who made the agreement with Cash Patel.
1:34.1	He made that promise to President Obama in 2016, to President Trump in 2018, and to President
1:41.7	Biden in 2023. So we have seen this before, and the question is, is the Xi Jinping going to honor his words?
1:50.8	But even if he does, John, the problem is that he could just sort of, instead of flooding the U.S.
1:56.2	with the precursors for chemical, for fentanyl, he could do that for the far more deadly netizens. And we know that
