Bull News. It is Tuesday, May 28th, 2024. Let's get into the mix. Here are your Washington headlines

of the day. Number one, Senate Republicans tell us they'll keep the filibuster.

Number two, the Gonzalez-Herrera primary is today, and number three, Larry Hogan's new ad.

Let's get into it. You know, we've been convinced for a long time just because it would be

poetic for Democrats, but when Republicans, if Republicans take the Senate majority, that they would get rid of

the filibuster, that's 60 vote threshold that is a big roadblock to many pieces of legislation.

But Andrew Dissario this morning has an interesting item that if Republicans keep the majority, most people tell us that

they will preserve the filibuster at all costs. And that's even if Donald Trump wins the White

House, Donald Trump, who is a very big opponent of the filibuster, has asked Senate Republicans

to get rid of it many times. And Tom Tillis said the day Republicans

vote to nuke the filibuster is the day I resign from the U.S. Senate. Write that down, everybody.

Tom Tillis says he's going to resign if Republicans get rid of the filibuster. Also, Thune,

John Thune said our members are committed to preserving it. As much as we

want to work with Trump, we're going to have to do it the old-fashioned way and cobble together the

types of majorities that enable us to get the 60-vote threshold. Now, again, this is a clip and save

moment because, you know, if it's easier without the filibuster, and we'll just have to see if

Republicans stay true to this promise.
