Summary
Congressman Ben Cline says the Senate forces votes on omnibus bills filled with pork barrel spending that satisfies both parties. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s office writes the omnibus bill. He maintains control by delaying and creating the deadline crisis. The process benefits him and the big spenders who control him. Cline says Covid legislation they passed was not really used to address Covid. It was there to pay off blue state debt. Schumer had been waiting for the opportunity to pay off unfunded pensions for public employees. All the Covid bills weren’t there for the public. They were for government unions. Cline says labeling Hamas the enemy is proving to be a challenge for the Left. We need to stand up for the sole democracy in the Middle East, for their right to defend themselves and make sure they have everything they need to erase Hamas from the map. Cline says it’s amazing how our open border has contributed to a rise in crime in every district of the country, even those far from the border. Now we have the spectacle of people on the terrorist watch list coming in. Cline says we have to close the border. It’s a matter of national security.
