News, a columnist, much on Fox Business, a Republican contest.

Donald Trump, the former president, does very well in polling so much so that you don't

need to pay attention to it.

It just sits there on moving for months.

However, there is movement in the rest of the field.

The former vice president, Mr. Pence, is withdrawn from the active contest and in polling

right now, the governor of South Carolina, Nikki Haley, is tied or doing very well against

the governor of Florida, Mr. DeSantis, who was seen as the once-in-future king.

And Liz, you very early on identified Nikki Haley.

Why?

What is it about her presentation that clearly pleases part of the Republican Party that

stands back from Mr. Trump?

Well, I would say, first of all, she is a very hard worker.

She's very smart.

She was a very successful South Carolina governor.

And she was part of the Trump administration serving as our ambassador to the United Nations.

And in that role, did a very, very good job.

She's tough.

She stood up to her adversaries and she got a lot of credit for that.

What's happened, of course, since the October 7 massacre in Israel is that foreign affairs

has suddenly become an important issue.
