One example, Ron Aromni, is facing reelection for R&C chair.

She's actually the longest serving Republican Party leader since 1856, despite the fact

that on her watch, the GOP is underperformed in every single election.

It's 2017 when she took the post.

McDaniel got a new challenge from an R&C committee woman who's firm, represents Trump.

And then there's Harmeet Dillon, who is picking up endorsements from people like Tucker Carlson

and Laura Ingwer.

And of course, there are contests between hardliners and moderates in the race for house speaker,

jacking over Senate Republican leadership on the early stages of a 2024 presidential

campaign.

And as Jonathan Martin notes in his article about 2024, it is striking that Republicans

are pushing for a robust primer with as many Trump challengers as possible, because that

might actually help Trump.
