Well on December 12th, Republican Senator Mike Braun made it official.

You don't want to be in the Senate anymore.

He's running for Indiana governor.

My guest today knows something about Indiana politics in Washington.

He also knows a lot about the politics of academia and college sports, two other things

that interest this podcast quite a bit.

So I'm joined now by Mitch Daniels.

He was governor of Indiana from 2005 to 2013.

After that, he joined Purdue University as the school's president and he announced that

he is leaving that office a January 1st.

And it's made a lot of people wonder what's next.

And we know what George Will would like to see as next.
