Hello there, Chuck Todd, and this is the Chuck Todd cast.

This week NBC News and Telemundo released a new national poll of the Latino electorate

and it showed Democrats leading Republicans by more than 20 points among Latino voters.

That said, the Democratic advantage has declined from previous election cycles.

The poll also shows just how diverse the Latino electorate is, reflecting many of the same

geographical, gender, and religious divide as the country as a whole.

So to dig into these numbers today, joined by Aline Cardona, a royal.

She's a vice president at heart research, one of our polling partners for this survey.

And also joining us, we've got Natasha Careki, senior national political reporter for

us here at NBC News, who's been reporting on the electorate in Nevada and Wisconsin and

just had a terrific story in Nevada this week about the biggest issue Democrats worry

about is a different type of swing Latino voter, a Latino voter that swings from voting

to that voting.

I would say the thing that struck me about it is just sort of how, yes, this is still

a democratic leaning constituency, but I almost think that that's the better way to describe

it now.
