Hello there, I'm Chuck Todd. This is the Chuck Todd cast. We've said it for weeks now, Democrats

0:09.6

and Republicans are running virtually parallel campaigns. Republicans are focused on a couple

0:14.7

of core issues like crime in the economy and Democrats. Our focus on their core issues

0:18.9

of abortion rights and protecting the democracy. But there's one group of elected officials

0:23.2

that don't have the luxury of splitting apart those issues. It's our nation's governors

0:26.5

and mayors. And I'm joined here at NBC affiliate WKYC in their studio here. But I'm joined

0:32.6

by the mayor of Cleveland, Justin Bibb. He was sworn into office in January of this year

0:36.8

in a city where police reform, crime are obviously big issues for these voters. And this is

And so we are big enough where a policy change will make a big difference with small enough

1:27.8

to innovate and experiment on big, bold new ideas for the whole country. Look, the biggest

1:32.0

thing you've got to do is expand your tax base, right? Yeah. I mean, I always said to

1:35.0

mayor in some ways, you're the chief economic developer officer and the Che sales officer

1:40.1

for these things. So what do you think is the best way to expand the tax base here in

1:44.5

Cleveland? Be as aggressive as I can on talking about the great amenities and assets we have

1:50.1

in Cleveland. We have the second largest theater district outside of New York City right

1:54.8

here in Playhouse Square. One of the worlds best orchestras in the Cleveland,
