Welcome to Your World Within Daily. I'm Eddie Panero. In this episode, we're going to talk about action compounding over time and how patience, consistency, and sustained self-belief are how we create change. So Bill Gates has a saying.

0:26.6

He says people tend to overestimate what they can do in one year,

0:30.6

but underestimate what we can do in 10.

0:34.6

Why?

0:35.6

Because we want validation, right, Results oriented. And sometimes we forget

0:41.4

how long of a process success is, you know, how much of a journey it is. And, you know, that's

0:51.5

something that comes from not hitting the ball out of the park once and having the world sort of unfold around you.

0:59.4

But it's consistent small steps in the right direction.

1:36.2

and a little bit bigger than that one and then you know 32 i forget how many variations out you

1:41.0

have a domino that can knock over the moon, right, or touch the moon from

1:44.2

Earth. Like, it's about little things compounding over time. And he gives an example that I'll

1:49.9

really simplify, but I think it's helpful. You know, so you have two people, let's say. One of them has a

1:57.0

beer and an appetizer before dinner. Every day. Not a big deal on the surface, right? Works

2:02.2

hard, come home, wants a beer, give the guy a beer, or the girl a beer. Three hundred pounds a day.

2:08.2

Not pounds. Calories. Three hundred calories a day. You take those calories, times it by seven,

2:14.3

times it by 52 weeks in a year, times it by 10 years. It's a lot of calories.
