For those of you new to the show, well, we are not talking politics

today. We're talking about higher order topics. And joining me is a very good longtime friend of

mine. Another Baptist today. We've got Baptist and Presbyterians. And this one happens to be,

well, I mean, he's like quintessentially Baptist. He's professor of ethics at Southern Seminary. Not only that, the director of the Carl Henry Institute for Evangelical Engagement, he's my friend Andrew Walker. We're not going to get into your bad musical taste that I actually kind of share, if I'm honest. But thank you for doing this. Eric, it's good to be with you, man.

And I guess I should actually call you Dr.

Walker now, huh?

You can call me, you've known me long before I was a doctor. So you can call me whatever you want to call you lots of things in our text messages. You do. So, okay, so I actually, it's not just a situation where it's like, oh, I got to find some people who will tell me yesterday.

I actually really did want to talk to you this Good Friday because of a lot of things you and I have been talking about together and you've been talking about online where I'm really concerned at this moment in time, given the uncertainties of the age

and the like, that a lot of people are forcing their faith into their political framework

as opposed to trying to pull their political framework into their faith worldview.

And it's leading to what I think are some unsettling results for people.

I don't doubt their faith, but it seems to be really hurting people's witness these days

as they try to conform the two.

A major concern, because as a Christian, we are to anchor our authority in the Word of God. The Word of God

forms our theology. And our theology rightfully is going to impact everything about our worldview.
