0:18.4	We are going to be talking some things about fathers this morning.
0:25.1	The scripture said from the Old Testament, from the law and the prophets, and down to Jesus' day,
0:32.9	reemphasizing it in the new covenant that we are to honor our mothers and fathers.
0:39.3	And into the New Testament to Ephesians, didn't the scripture say that that was one of the first commandments with a promise?
0:46.3	If we would honor our mothers and fathers, that things would go good for us.
0:52.3	It'd go well with us.
0:54.9	And we'd live long on the earth.

1:00.7	And live a long time.
1:02.7	Well, then what is a big key to that?
1:06.3	Honoring your father and your mother.
1:15.5	You know, one reason that is such a key issue is because if you don't honor father and mother then you can pretty much assume you don't honor God either
1:19.0	because you are what you are and if you honor God it's the most natural thing for you to honor
1:27.3	people you just are an honorer right And if you honor God, it's the most natural thing for you to honor people.
1:27.9	You just are an honorer.
1:30.8	Right?
1:32.1	Didn't the Lord say, First John through John, he said if a man says that he loves God and he hates his brother, he's a liar.
1:42.6	Right?
1:43.4	And how do we know that you love God? By you loving people.
