Good evening. I'm John Batchel. The show begins in the Middle East tonight, asking Bill Raggio and Hussain O'Connor, my colleagues, what of the major players, the ones with sticks, Egypt, sharp sticks, Turkey, what of them now that Donald Trump is headed to the White House in 70 or so days.

We also turn to Mr. Netanyahu and ask what choices for Israel in these next days, working with Trump,

continuing the war, unknowns.

Then a conversation about Netanyahu himself with John Bolton,

former ambassador to the United Nations, former national security advisor. Mr. Bolton's position is that

B.B. Netanyahu has a free shot at Iran's nuclear weapons program now, between now and the 20th.

Mr. Biden has no leverage left.

Mr. Trump is not attracted to the idea of inheriting wars.

He wants them over.

Then we turn to the Chosen Reservoir with Grant Nusham.

That was a famous defeat and victory for the First Division of the Marine Corps.

The 5th and 7th regiments, I believe.

There may be other elements, but 500,000 Chinese troops counterattacked

across the border with North Korea and trapped the Americans near the Chosen

Reservoir with one road to get out. This is November, December of 1950. We discussed that

and how one man, O.P. Smith, commanding the first division, had a plan to get out

and pulled out the Marines as best he could, and they reached the coast and sailed away to

fight another day. We also discuss how the Chinese are getting ready to attack, as they did in

1950, this time in 2024, to overwhelm the eastern,

the western Pacific of the Eastern East Asia.

We talk about the airfields that the Chinese are preparing, the possibility of deploying
