Good evening. The show begins tonight on Wall Street. It's bullish. Very fair, very few see a recession ahead.

The Mag 7, of course, are outpacing everything else, but it's all moving up in all the metrics show positive sailing ahead.

What does this mean for the Main Street economy?

Positive things.

Chiefly, Liz Peake comments on the deregulation or lack of regulation

or relaxed regulation of the Trump administration as compared to the Biden administration,

which was keen on knocking down bigness, and the Obama administration, which used regulation

as a way of very carefully controlling the environment, the economy.

Regulation has its place, but not when the

business cycle is yearning to get going. What we have now is all signals point a bullish 25.

Until? Also, commenting on the last-minute decisions Mr. Biden's administration is making a lot of green emphasis banning oil and gas leases offshore,

banning natural gas fired water heaters after 2029, all very strange.

Just the last licks of the defeated Biden administration.

And contrary to the will of the American people, but there it is.

And then to Berlin, to Judy Dempsey, to talk about the populist trend in America and in Europe, in Austria, in Italy, in France,

in Britain, and certainly in Germany with the rise of AFT. And then a conversation about the German

election, which is due in the middle of February. Friedrich Mertz, leading the CDU, is very confident he will be Chancellor.

We also talk of the Green Party and what's become of it.

How it's not young anymore.

Judy comments on how Europe is not ready for the hostility of Germany, of Russia and China,

whereas the U.S. looks to be ready. Bumpy Road ahead.
