mention good couples work and how you know you're with a couples therapist or coach that is effective.

I know you've heard me say this and I'm going to say it again.

Most therapy is ineffective and not helpful. That means the practitioners

employing the therapy are ineffective and not helpful. Now, could you say the same as coaching?

Yes, probably. And sometimes it could be generally said that less experienced people are

less effective at getting clients' results. More experienced people are more effective. You could

say that. That obviously could be argued because there's some amazingly talented, skilled, effective, new coaches and therapists.

And there are some incredibly unskilled and ineffective people that have been practicing therapy or coaching for 30 years.

And I am saddened and frustrated when I hear people who have been working with a therapist

or coach and I ask them a simple diagnostic question.

I say, is it helping?

And they say, well, huh.

And I'm like, no, no, no, is it helping? Like, are you moving your life forward? That could be a more direct way of asking the same question. Are things
