Hey, welcome back my friends. It is time for the morning mindset.

Hope you're doing well out there. I hope you are taking advantage of the opportunities around you to interact with other

believers whether that's remotely through a Zoom meeting or in person through a

cup of coffee that you're able to share and are encouraging your own faith.

That really is what the mindset behind the morning mindset is all about,

is believers encouraging believers, helping each other to maintain this mindset that we need every day to live life

according to the plan of God, our Savior, and in the power of His Holy Spirit. Today in Romans chapter 3, beginning of verse 19, we are going to learn

once and for all how ridiculous it is for us to think that we can in any way please God through

keeping some sort of religious law. I know there's all kinds of religions in the world and most of them have certain practices

that are encouraged for the sake of becoming more holy or becoming more godly.

And yes, practices are beneficial, such as reading your Bible, prayer, meditation,

silence, solitude, those things are all helpful in their own way. But Paul's point goes

deeper than just the practice. His point has to do with how we as sinful fallen humanity become righteous.

And in verse 19 of Romans chapter 3, here's what Paul says.

He says, now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law,

so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.

For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes

knowledge of sin.

That is a key phrase in the book of Romans.

Through the law comes knowledge of sin.

You see, the law was never meant to help us live a righteous life. God's
