and rewatch our favorite episodes of the Golden Girls

and offer new insights since we first started breaking down these episodes way back in 2014.

And it's time to install a pacemaker and put on your inflatable teal vacuum slacks because

we just rewatched season five, episode 17, like the beep, beep of the Tom of the tom tom i mean the best title of an

episode i think potentially ever but also this episode and the jokes the jokes on this episode

it was like a joke paloosa there i mean more than it felt i mean that's something that I love about the later seasons is that like, they feel so joke heavy. Like, even jokes that aren't even related to the actual A story. It is just like joke on joke on joke. I felt like this episode was like switching from going to like a grocery store to going to Costco.

Like you're getting your jokes in bulk.

You're getting your money's worth.

And Sophia was basically doing a stand-up set.

I mean, Sophia, my God.

That was the first note I wrote.

In my notes, I wrote, oh, my God, Sophia has so many jokes at Blanche's expense like

after her surgery um Sophia goes she's fine she'll be up and back in her back in no time

she she had there were so many jokes at Blanche's expense in this episode she killed it every

single one there was never one that failed.

It was almost like she was Joan Rivers. She felt very Joan Riversy.
