Today's tip is about how to make conferences a better use of your time.

I've gone to a great many conferences over the years, and when I was first doing so, I would often get frustrated by the whole experience.

I'd spend a lot of time studying the conference booklet, trying to figure out which panels to attend.

I'd finally choose one that looked most helpful and then it would be,

how shall I put this boring? I might get one or two insights sitting in a 90 minute session,

and that's better than nothing,

but I couldn't help feeling like I would have a higher rate of insights per minute

by skimming a book.

And since I'm an introvert, reading a book

often feels more appealing than dealing with crowds.
