I got thinking about it because in this context where everybody's pointing fingers at everybody else,

it seemed like a super skill that might save us all.

And then I came across this beautiful passage by Mother Teresa

about accepting each other's contradictions and passing over the mistakes of others, to accept being slighted, forgotten, and

disliked, to be kind and gentle even under provocation. And it reminded me of a

conversation I had at the very beginning of Kelly Corrigan Wonders with a woman named Wanda Holland Green.

She's an educator who cares deeply about the development of human beings and therefore

had some very strong feelings about the power of forgiveness for both parties.
