If you want a thriving family in the future you will need to go against the grain even in Christian circles as you raise your children. Sometimes what’s best for your family is in a different direction than what people in your community are doing. For over twenty years the Tolpin’s have gone against the grain in numerous ways that they are contributing to the fruit they see today in their family of nine children. They discuss how to have the hard conversations and encouragement to do so. The reality of the pressures on parents to go along to get along, but the warning that we should always do what is likely to have the most fruitful outcomes in raising our children even if there’s relational cost with others. But also encouragement that there doesn’t have to be a relational cost and to move forward in love without fear as you make your intentional parenting decisions.
