Hey, it's Callie Black here with today's thought. Let's open up to Genesis chapter 22, verse 8.

One of the scariest financial moments of my life was right after my husband and I moved to a new state

so that he could start grad school. It was about a year after we had been married. And I started

looking for a full-time job so that I could make a full-time income and support him in his grad

school. But due to many circumstances outside of my control that come with moving states, I could not

find a job for quite a while. Our savings account slowly dipped lower and lower. This was one time

when I really felt the concept that faith equals action. I knew that God would provide for us and that things would

work out, but sitting there without any income for a while was also really, really difficult.

When Abraham led his beloved son, Isaac, up to the mountain with all the supplies to make a burnt offering,

Isaac began to wonder, where was the sacrifice? Where was the animal for the sacrifice?

And as Father Abraham wisely testified in Genesis chapter 22, verse 8, my son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering.

Abraham had pure faith that God would provide that offering, no matter what that looked like.

But I love that Abraham was also teaching Isaac what would come in the future.

God would eventually provide a sacrificial lamb for all of humankind. God has always provided for us.

When we genuinely believe that God will provide, what can that give us the faith to do?

So the takeaway of the day in five words or less, trust that God will provide. Thank you so much for
