So I grew up in a small town called Joplin, Missouri, which has since become a little bit more well-known because of tornadoes that kind of wiped it out a few years back, like 10 years ago.

when I got into high school, swore that would never happen. And then God kind of opened up some doors. So, you know, when I was a freshman in college, I needed to be

honest, I needed to make a little bit of money. And so there's a small church up the road that ran like

30 or 40 people. It's called Christ's Church of Perseverance. And so they needed somebody to preach on the weekend. And my dad's secretary, because again, he was a seminary president,

she said, hey, it's Thursday. They need somebody to preach on Sunday. Can you do it? It's $50.

And I'm like, well, there's no way I'm going to be a preacher, but I'll do this because I could use 50 bucks. And so I went and I preached at this little church.

And then like when it was over, they said, you want to come back next weekend? And I'm like 50,

bucks? Yeah, okay, I'll come back next weekend. So I'm like 19 at the time. And so I did this for

five or six weekends. And then I remember one weekend after I finished preaching, I walked out in the lobby, they have a piece of paper, and it says on there, you know, Kyle Eidleman, senior pastor.

I'm like, oh, okay. So this happened then.
