When most people think of the Old Testament tabernacle, they picture an ancient tent,

0:13.0

distant and unfamiliar, something that feels far removed from everyday life.

0:18.5

But what if that sacred structure was actually designed by God to point us

0:23.6

directly to everything we have in Jesus Christ? In this study, fully furnished, finding all you need in Christ,

0:30.6

Scott invites us to step inside the tabernacle and discover that every detail from the altar to the

0:38.5

mercy seat was a divine preview of the Savior to come. Let's join Scott now. Today we

0:49.2

come to our final study in this wonderful, wonderful time we've had looking at the furniture in the Old Testament

0:56.2

tabernacle. We've discovered that truly we find all we need in Christ. We are fully furnished

1:01.2

in Him. And today we end where God brings us, and that is literally to the throne. When we left

1:31.4

Those little arcs of safety for Moses and that big arc of safety for Noah and his family were sealed

1:39.9

with pitch. It's the same Hebrew word, pitch, the same Hebrew word as mercy seat. I love this.

1:47.2

This is the atonement. This is God's seal, God's way of salvation for us. All these things are

1:55.3

connected and all of these things point us to Jesus Christ. And like we've done in previous studies, I want to take you

2:02.5

today to the New Testament because the Old Testament is really just a pointer that points us to Christ

2:07.8

and points us to the fulfillment of the New Testament. When you come to Hebrews chapter 9, you really

2:12.4

come to a commentary on what we were reading in Exodus 25 about the Mercy Sea.

2:18.4

Hebrews 9, verse 2 says,

2:20.1

for there was a tabernacle made,
