Yeah, hello, my friends.

Once again, welcome back to the Morning Mindset.

I hope you're doing well today.

Hope you have your eyes open to the grace and mercy of God poured over your life today.

We're going to be looking at John 11 verses 1 through 4 today in an effort to get our

minds aligned with the truth of God's Word.

So I'm asking you to take out the scriptures, follow along with me if you're able, and

let's dive in.

It says, now a certain man was ill, Lazarus, a Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister

Martha.

It was Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother

Lazarus was ill.

So the sisters sent to Jesus saying, Lord, he whom you love is ill.

But when Jesus heard it, he said.

This illness does not lead to death.

It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.

And we're not going to go any further into the story today.

We're going to unpack that more tomorrow and in the days following.

But what I want to do today is to think a little bit together about God's purposes for

illness.

Now, there are voices in the evangelical culture today, the church culture of our world,

that would claim that God wants every sickness that you have to be healed.
