0:17.0	Before I had children, I thought I was a patient person. If I made a list of sins when I was 25,

0:24.0	But then I had my daughter, and before she could even speak, before I could even reason with her,
0:29.2	before I had any reasonable reason to even be a teensy-taincy bit angry with her while my anger it suddenly

0:38.5	You see it turned out that I am actually an angry person.
0:42.3	I just had such a comfortable life that I had very
0:44.8	little to be angry about until I had kids. And now all of a sudden I had an infant
0:50.2	who kept me up at night, who wouldn't fall asleep, who wouldn't take her bottle, who in every possible way I could
0:56.5	imagine didn't really care at all about my big adult schedule preferences or comfort. And it turns out that when those things got threatened, my
1:05.9	anger flared. By God's grace, I never took out my anger on her in any visible way,
1:11.4	but internally I was seething. Sometimes I'd find myself leaving her
1:15.8	room and I'd throw a toy or a pacifier on the ground in anger. I remember one time I was leaving
1:21.1	by myself from her house and I found myself punching the steering wheel because I was so frustrated.
1:26.0	I was angry and my anger was wrong. It was sinful because I was angry that my daughter was threatening my idols.
1:33.6	Idols I didn't even realize I was worshiping.
1:36.0	Idols like myself, my comfort, and my schedule.
