He asked them for a fish to show them the kind of body he had.

That he's not a ghost.

He's not this ethereal kind of thing which we maybe as little children thought of when we were dreaming about

how horrible heaven would be of this angelic ghosty figures just kind of floating over gold and silver and glass.

When Jesus rose from the dead, one of the first things he did was eat fish.

And that's not just a fun detail. It's a massive clue.

Let me read you, show you two texts that say some amazing things about the body,

because I want you to be body affirming. I don't want you to be body affirming. Don't want you to be body dominated,

but one of the best ways not to be body dominated

that is controlled by your lusts and your desires that come from the body

is to know its proper place and not try to be naive about running from it.

All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful. That's the law that I want to have,

the law of Christ to do what's loving and helpful and I don't want to be governed merely by

lists I want to be governed by love all things are lawful for me but I will not be enslaved

their second principle helpful and I don't want to be enslaved by anything I'm a free man in

Christ therefore I won't be dominated by sex I won't want to be enslaved by anything. I'm a free man in Christ, therefore I won't be dominated by sex.

I won't be dominated by food.

I won't be dominated by any habit.

I want to be free.
