As we begin our daily guided prayer, let's close our eyes and take a deep breath.

Has discouragement overtaken you?

In light of black history, have you ever questioned your value or worth as a person?

Do you need assurance in the midst of hard times, let's set our mind on Jesus and listen as I read the scripture

to you.

In 2 Peter 1 4, it states, as a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all prides,

so that through the power of these tremendous promises, we can experience partnership with the divine nature by which you have escaped the corrupt desires

that are of this world peter inspired by the holy spirit writes that the church and light of all the benefits that Jesus has provided, he says,

look to the promises of God. He says these promises are priceless. These promises are powerful,

and they provide security with the assurance that God is with you.

These promises are for everyone, but I want to speak directly to the African American community.

There's peace for you today.

You can lean on the faithfulness of its promises

and consistent presence.

These promises have weight that will persuade

and encourage you for everyday life.

As we start this time of prayer, let's worship.

Let's take a moment to pause and think of how much God is a promise keeper.

His words are true and honest.

His words last across all time and many generations.

God is faithful to be present in every person's life.

Let's take time to pause to think of God's promises.
