Those of you that are joining us online, we're so glad that you are. I want to mention, though, before we jump in, in that next Thursday can you believe it is

it's going to be it's Thanksgiving next Thursday I had to go to my calendar I'm like

is it it's November right isn't Thanksgiving in November yes when next

Thursday so as such we won't have our Bible study.

Hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving with your families together, with your Ohana. So the

following week then, Lord Lord willing we will complete actually

the book of Amos there are two remaining chapters after we Lord willing complete

these two chapters tonight chapter six and seven then the following week after Thanksgiving will maybe Lord willing

tackle and finish chapters eight and nine. And then after that is a very short book,

the book of Obadiah. And what a book. I say that about every book, but

anyway, that's coming up. So these are two chapters that yet again demonstrate just how long-suffering and patient the Lord is with us.

He's slow to anger. He's not quick to discipline us. He's so patient with us. And he gives us

so many chances, so many opportunities. And we're going to see that tonight, how that God is always patient with us, but we're going

to have to gut through chapter six first in order to see that in chapter seven.

Because chapter six is, and you'll forgive me if I want to get it over with, but it's got

some really tough stuff in there, and rightfully so, because what God is doing in effect

with the northern tribes of Israel, northern Israel, the northern kingdom, is establishing his case through the

prophet Amos for the judgment that is coming which could still be avoided but God in

his infinite foreknowledge and omniscience knows that,

and we saw that last week, that they will not turn back to him and live.
