| 0:00.0 | Good morning, my friends. Good afternoon. Good evening. Whatever time of day it is for you, |
| 0:08.3 | I am thankful that you're with me. This is The Morning Mindset. Welcome. I'm glad you here. |
| 0:14.9 | It is an opportunity for us today to align our minds with the truth of God's Word. |
| 0:21.9 | And today's truth is going to be found in Daniel chapter 6 verses 19 through 24. |
| 0:29.0 | I have personally been very encouraged with our study of the life of this biblical character, |
| 0:34.8 | Daniel, because he serves as a good example. I think you'll agree with me. We need good |
| 0:41.5 | examples and we don't seem to have that many sometimes in our lives and looking to a biblical |
| 0:47.0 | character like Daniel can be very encouraging in that respect. Daniel finds himself in this situation |
| 0:55.3 | in a very difficult situation. He's in a lion's den. And now what is a lion's den? Well, |
| 1:02.0 | it's a pit basically where this king, Derrius, has kept a group of lions and they are used |
| 1:13.2 | as a form of punishment for people. When someone does wrong or someone breaks a law, |
| 1:18.4 | they will throw that person into the den of lions and you can imagine what would happen. |
| 1:23.3 | They're the lions would attack and devour those people. And so Daniel has broken a law, |
| 1:31.6 | but it's a law that was contrived to catch him in an action that certain men who were jealous of him |
| 1:39.5 | could accuse him of. And the action that he did, it was praying to his God. They knew that they could |
| 1:47.1 | not catch him in any other wrong, so to speak. So they made a law against praying that Daniel they |
| 1:54.8 | knew would break. And so the king, Derrius tried to get Daniel out of it after it was done, |
| 2:01.5 | but politically speaking, it was just impossible. And so Daniel has spent the night in a lion's den. |
| 2:07.0 | And we pick up in Daniel 6, 19 through 24. It says, then at break of day, the king arose and |
| 2:14.9 | went in haste to the den of lions. As he came near to the den where Daniel was, he cried out in a |
| 2:21.2 | tone of anguish. The king declared to Daniel, oh Daniel, servant of the living God has your God |
| 2:27.5 | whom you serve continually been able to deliver you from the lions. Then Daniel said to the king, |
