Hello, my beautiful family. You're about to listen to part six of our Prove It

sermon series. And this particular installment, I believe we're touching a blind spot,

a missing component when it comes to our apologetics. Like, I know that you could

defend your faith against a false religion or false teaching, but can you defend it against

heartbreak? Heartbreak is what's causing for people to walk away from

the Lord, not debates. This sermon's going to bless your life. Let's get to the message.

This is installment number six of our Prove It Sermon series, a sermon series that's all about solidifying our faith so that we may be individuals who know what we believe, why we believe, can defend our belief and share that belief with others.

And we learned when we first started this series for part one, 1 Peter chapter 3, can defend our belief and share that belief with others.

And we learned when we first started this series for part one, 1 Peter chapter 3, verse

15, this was the Apostle Peter speaking to the believers who have been dispersed in other parts

of the world.

He says, but in your hearts, everybody say heart. Honor Christ the Lord as holy.

Always being prepared.

Notice scripture doesn't say sometimes at church, at discipleship development.

Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who ask you for the reason for the hope that is in you.

And then we learned that the word defense in the Greek is Apologia.

It's where we get the word apologetics.

And we gave you this definition that

apologetics is simply the ability to give a reasoned defense of the faith by explaining with

gentleness and respect. That part though. With gentleness and respect why you follow Christ. Simply put,

it's a prepared mind, a submitted heart with a Christ-like tone. Emphasis on Christ-like tone.
